The LiveAquaria® Certified Beginner SPS Frag 4 Pack contains different color forms of some of our easiest to keep Small Polyp Stony Coral Frags. This pack contains a total of four captive grown coral frags. These could include Pavona, Seriatopora, Stylophora, Porites, Montipora, or Pocillopora. Our packaging crew will hand select these pieces, and we are sure you will be pleased. This package will add a dramatic splash of color to any reef tank, and we are confident that the beginner marine aquarist will enjoy these corals for years to come. If you are looking for exciting easy to maintain SPS Corals and would like to see what LiveAquaria® Aquacultured Beginner Frags can do for your marine aquarium, this is the package for you.

The ideal conditions for the beginner SPS frags is a well established reef aquarium with bright lighting provided by metal halides. They will also thrive under multiple T-5 or compact fluorescents if placed towards the top in the aquarium.

To maximize their growth rate, it is imperative to maintain a high pH, stable alkalinity and calcium levels, and to keep phosphate and nitrate levels as close to zero as possible. Along with lighting and water quality, SPS corals prefer strong, intermittent water flow within the aquarium. This is best accomplished with a wave maker and multiple power heads.

SPS corals receive a majority of their nutritional requirements from photosynthesis, but will benefit from the addition of various types of zooplankton.
